Slim Town Singles is an online musical tribute to our hometown musical hero Bob “Slim” Dunlap, founded to facilitate the efforts of the Minnesota music community in supporting his long-term care after suffering a stroke in February of 2012. Since Slim’s passing in December of 2024,100% of STS proceeds continue to go directly to the Slim Dunlap Fund, supporting his legacy as a supremely talented singer-songwriter, guitarist, and storyteller. 

While challenged by health issues following his stroke, one of Slim’s greatest pleasures was hearing music performed by his friends. Since December 2013, Slim Town Singles has been honored to present musical tributes from Slim’s many talented friends and admirers in the largely Minnesotan but ultimately borderless music community. From original songs inspired by Slim to covers of some of his favorite songs, all Slim Town Singles were intended to brighten Slim’s day, and continue to help keep his legacy alive. All songs made available via Slim Town are productions donated by the artists themselves, with downloads offered for sale at a “pay what you like” price. All proceeds directly support the Dunlap family’s efforts to celebrate his life and musical legacy. Thanks for listening!
